This here is <strong><a href="http://www.aliyasurfcamp.com/" target="_blank">Aliya Surf Camp and Resort</a></strong>, and this was where we stayed when we were in Baler, Aurora.</p> <p>The rooms are basic (nothing fancy) but it’s nice and comfortable and affordable! The place itself is very nice and you could find lots of spots where you could just sit down and relax and unwind. But what’s really good about this place is, according to the name, it’s a good venue for surfing (I don’t really know how to say but I think the waves are good here)! Tried it for one hour and it was fun and I found my body aching allover after. I have so many pending photos to post from recent travels and I’ll go through them one by one during the Holidays. In the meanwhile, I’m posting this one. Sagada’s about 12-14 hours drive from Metro Manila (so long) but the view going there is nothing short of spectacular (I’ll show you in another post).</p> <p>The scene in the photo is one of the main attractions that gives Sagada its identity. About half an hour trek (with panoramic views of the mountains) would get you to this one. And so here I am in an Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) air quality sampling site, one of the large air quality networks in the US. :D</p> <p>Really learned a lot from this plus got to go a bit around Glacier National Park where this site was located (as the previous photos show). Hahaha! Been so busy the past month with academics and work. But just came from a short weekend vacation trip! And though I have yet to post some few remaining photos from my trip to <a href="http://shuttertrip.tumblr.com/tagged/montana" target="_blank">Montana</a>, I’m too excited and I want to post this one now.</p> <p>This is in <strong><a href="http://www.solyvientoresort.com/" target="_blank">Sol Y Viento Mountain Spring Resort</a></strong> in Pansol, Laguna, Philippines. Basically a hot spring/pool resort. The place is well layout and has a good overlooking view of the town plus Laguna Lake. Since it’s quite affordable too and just a few hours away from Manila, I think it’s one of those perfect quick weekend getaways if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. :D</p> <p>Also, I think I’m starting to get a hang of always using a tripod and filters and the new workflow I’m trying out when I’m taking photos.
